About
Who is Preetti?
Preetti is a bridal and party makeup artist based in Beverly Park, Mira Road East, working on location across Mira Road, Bhayandar, Borivali, Kandivali, Malad and the wider Mumbai region. She has been styling brides since 2012.
Aura By Preetti is a service-area business rather than a salon, there is no shopfront to visit. Every booking happens where you are getting ready: your home, your hotel room, or the venue's getting-ready room. For a bride, that removes an entire logistical problem from the morning.
Method
What is her approach to bridal makeup?
The house style is a luminous, lightweight base, coverage built only where it is needed and left sheer everywhere else, so the skin still reads as skin in photographs rather than as a mask.
In practice that means shade-matching to the neck and chest rather than the hand, because the mismatch that shows up in wedding photographs is always at the jawline. It means choosing a primer for the bride's actual skin type on the day rather than defaulting to one. And it means sizing the setting routine to the length of the function, a three-hour engagement and a fourteen-hour wedding day are not the same job.
Products used include NARS, MAC, Dior and Huda Beauty, chosen for skin safety, high-definition photo finish and humidity resistance.
Local styling
Which wedding traditions does she work across?
Preetti has styled brides for Maharashtrian, Gujarati, Marwari, Punjabi, Jain and Christian ceremonies. The ornament and drape work differs meaningfully between them, and it is not interchangeable.
A Maharashtrian nath sits across the face rather than beside it and changes the balance of the whole look. A Gujarati chandlo needs precise placement, and the eye is usually kept lighter so the panetar leads. A Marwari borla and rakhdi take their own twenty minutes. A Christian bride's veil changes how the hair is set and how much volume the crown can carry. Knowing those differences in advance is what keeps a wedding morning on schedule.
This matters locally: Mira-Bhayandar is roughly 34% Hindi-speaking, 24% Marathi and 20% Gujarati, with a Jain population near 5.7% — one of the most mixed wedding markets in the region.
Process
What happens when you book?
- Enquiry — send your date, function time and venue. Those three facts determine availability and the start time.
- Consultation — the look is planned around your outfit, jewellery, ceremony and skin type.
- Trial on request — best three to four weeks before the date, leaving time to adjust.
- The day — arrival 30–45 minutes before the start; makeup, hairstyling and draping in sequence.
- Handover — a touch-up kit before the reception.
Why
Why work with Aura By Preetti rather than someone closer?
Hairstyling and saree or lehenga draping are included in every bridal package rather than billed separately, and pricing is published rather than quoted on request.
That is a deliberate position. A ₹15,000 quote plus ₹4,000 for hair plus ₹1,500 for draping is a ₹20,500 booking, and the hairstyling add-on is the surprise brides report most often. Publishing the full grid on the pricing page means you can compare like with like before you call.
Being honest about the trade-off: for a venue far south of Mira Road with a very early start, an artist based nearer to you may suit your budget better. What travelling from Mira Road buys is the community styling experience above, worth weighing deliberately rather than by default.
